Creating a Cultural Safe Haven in the Classroom

This course will provide teachers with the opportunity to explore topics such as bias, racism, sexism and xenophobia and other controversial cultural conversations that happen in our classrooms. Teachers will gain a more in-depth awareness of these diverse topics, feel better prepared to address students' social-emotional concerns and engage students in these discussions. Educators will share their experiences related to these topics by collaborating as professionals, asking questions, and developing strategies to implement in their schools.
