This course prepares Massachusetts educators for full compliance with the 2025 amendments to 603 CMR 46.00 and 603 CMR 18.00, effective August 17, 2026, while grounding regulatory knowledge in the prevention-first, evidence-based behavioral practices that make compliance natural rather than reactive.

Explain the 2025 amendments to 603 CMR 46.00 and 603 CMR 18.00 and apply compliance requirements to school and classroom practice.
Implement a multi-tiered PBIS framework at the classroom level, including universal, targeted, and intensive behavioral supports.
Apply a function-based approach to understanding and responding to student behavior, reducing reliance on reactive or exclusionary discipline.
Document behavioral interventions, restraint incidents, and progress monitoring data in alignment with Massachusetts regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with colleagues, families, and administrators to build school-wide behavioral systems that are equitable, preventive, and legally compliant.
